Terms and Conditions for Roofing Works
1. Parties
This agreement is made between:
Contractor: Skyline Roofing Highlands, 158 castle heather drive, inverness, IV24ED
Customer:
2. Scope of Work
The Contractor agrees to carry out roofing works at the Customer's property, located at said address, as described in the written quotation/invoice provided and accepted by the Customer.
3. Deposit and Payment Terms
3.1. A minimum deposit of 20% is required before commencement of any work. This deposit secures your booking and allows us to allocate materials and labour.
3.2. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the works, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3. All payments must be made via bank transfer to:

3.4. Late payments may incur interest charges of [12 %] per month on outstanding balances.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
4.1. If the Customer cancels the project after the deposit has been paid but before work has commenced, the Contractor reserves the right to retain part or all of the deposit to cover costs incurred.
4.2. If the Customer cancels after work has commenced, the Customer will be liable for payment of the portion of work completed and materials used.
5. Scheduling and Delays
5.1. All efforts will be made to start and complete the work on the agreed dates.
5.2. However, delays caused by weather, supply shortages, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect timelines. The Contractor will not be held liable for such delays.
6. Access and Site Conditions
The Customer agrees to provide access to the property and the necessary utilities (e.g., electricity, water) for the duration of the work. The site must be safe and free of obstructions.
7. Workmanship Guarantee
All work is guaranteed for a period of 2 years against defects in workmanship. This does not cover damage caused by external factors such as storms, accidents, or misuse.
8. Materials Warranty
Materials used are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. The Contractor will not be responsible for manufacturer defects but will assist in making any claims where possible.
9. Liability
The Contractor carries appropriate public liability insurance. The Contractor will take reasonable care but will not be liable for damage to landscaping, driveways, or other property features unless caused by negligence.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising under this agreement will first be attempted to be resolved through discussion. If not resolved, the parties agree to pursue mediation before taking legal action.
11. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
